Ratz…. Was established in 1998 in Dufferin Avenue, after much debate the name was simply derived from the initials of the original owners’ names, Ralph And Tracey, with a ‘z’ replacing the‘s’. Some felt that the name might be off-putting but we felt it was quirky and not a name that would be easily forgotten! In addition the word ‘Ratz’ fitted in with the continental theme – ‘rat’ meaning ‘councillor’ in German.
